Nightcore Tracker

Methodology

Rankings cover monitored channels only. For each ranking date (Europe/Madrid), the seven-day gain is the view counter at the cutoff minus the counter seven days earlier, and growth is that gain as a percentage of the starting counter. Both observations must exist and be roughly a week apart (within 6.0 hours); a window up to three days longer or shorter is scaled to a seven-day rate, and one further off is left out.

Missing observations are never treated as zero, a zero baseline has no percentage, and counter corrections that go down are never ranked. Ties are broken by gain and then by YouTube ID. Movement compares against the complete ranking of the previous day, not only its top 10.

Breakout songs compare each song with what its own channel usually gets, so a song from a small channel that does exceptionally well can rank above a big channel's routine release. In its first two weeks a song's views so far are compared with the views the channel's last ten uploads had at the same age. After that, its seven-day views are compared with the larger of the channel's usual week for songs of that age and the song's own previous week, so it must accelerate to count; a single spike day is capped, the last three days must keep up, and the week must be about as big as a typical launch of the channel. A song needs at least 300 views and at least 2 times its usual views, and each channel appears once. "Above usual" is how far the song is above the channel's usual views.

Breakout channels are young channels already growing fast: their first monitored long-form upload is at most 548 days old and their total view counter was at least 100,000 when the week started. They are ranked by the square root of views gained times growth, so neither a big channel's large gain nor a tiny channel's high percentage wins alone. Each shows its song with the most views gained this week. Top songs and Top channels rank the absolute number of views gained, which favours large, established entries; a song or channel can appear in several charts.

Channel figures use the channel's public YouTube total view counter, which also counts Shorts and uploads that are not monitored, so they need not match the songs listed above. Shorts are excluded from the song charts; mixes are not classified separately.
